Very interesting Batman movie, inspired by various comics like Batman: The Long Halloween, Batman: Year One, Batman: Hush, Batman: Ego, etc. This time, you won’t see the Dark Knight fighting against planet buster folks like Superman or Doomsday or anything superheroic involving Justice League, The League of Shadows etc etc. Nope. Let’s lower the bar …

Spiderman: No Way Home
From the very beginning (yes, I’m talking about Tobey Maguire’s 2002 movie, back to good old high school days), practically *all* Spiderman movies fall in the “okay-ish” category for me. Not really enjoyable like Guardian of The Galaxy series, but also not that bad like Iron Man 3 (yes, I’m still looking at you). Gonna …
Ghostbusters: Afterlife
Two notes: A warmful tribute to late Harold Ramis a.k.a Egon Spengler I foresee McKenna Grace will be a big star in the next few years
Last Night in Soho
For those of you who like to think “Man.. life in the 1970s or 1960s probably would have been more exciting…” The movie started to feel kinda repetitive after the “3rd awakening”, but overall is OK. Not really a big fan of 60-ish vibe. On the other side, gotta give applause to ATJ and Thomasin. …
Dune
For brutalist architecture afficionados like me, Dune provides plenty of visual treats. Damn massive buildings, spaceships, etc. Not sure how you perceive such constructions: perhaps cold? gloomy? inhuman? tolalitarian? As a fan of geometric shapes, I find them to be very aesthetically pleasing. And seems Mr Villeneuve is a wide angle fans. Just take a …
No Time to Die
Kinda shocking. For the first time, in the history of James Bond movies (the first one, Dr No was released in 1962 and No Time to Die is the 25th), we finally see Bond… dead. Yes… dead. Mmm but did he really… nevermind, just safely assume that way: he’s dead. One thing I particularly like …
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings
This one is easily my #1 fav scene: That hurt, Emil! Do you want me to show you how it feels? That’s a damn efficient move by Wong, definitely needed less effort compared to the Hulk. BTW, hello again Mr Slattery!
Suicide Squad (2021)
This Suicide Squad movie, unlike the previous one, definitely has Guardian of The Galaxy’s vibe on it. Thanks James Gunn. And of course much more bloody. Nom nom! Yep me likey!
Two Bassists Left Us Today
Different year, though. John Entwistle in 2002. And Chris Squire in 2012. Both were very influential rock bassists. And Englishmen. And twangy players.
Friends The Reunion: 17 Years Later
The last episode was aired on 2004. As a 90s kid, I’m happy to see that “Friends” are still “Friends”. They are just taking some breaks. Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Phoebe only look slightly older. Joey is… well… a bit fat :p And 17 years ago also mean I’m not a youngster anymore. Ouch.
